Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to remove my factory bumper cover to install this?

Yes. The reinforcement bar sits behind the cover, so you’ll need to remove it first. Once the bar is bolted to the frame at the factory mounting points, the cover goes back on over top.

Will this fit with an aftermarket rear bumper?

This reinforcement bar is designed for the factory bumper assembly. If you’re running an aftermarket bumper, verify mounting-point compatibility before ordering some custom bumpers won’t line up with the factory reinforcement points.

Do I need to paint this before installation?

Not required. The bar can go in as-is if it’s hidden behind your bumper cover. Paint if you prefer a finished look or plan to leave the cover off for any reason.
