Frequently Asked Questions

Will this handle cover work with my powered tailgate?

This cover is engineered for manual tailgate systems only. If your Grand Cherokee has a powered liftgate, you’ll need a different cover designed for that actuator configuration.

Do I need new fasteners to install this?

The cover uses factory mounting points, so existing hardware will work. Verify bolt condition before installationreplace any that are corroded or stripped.

Should I paint this before or after installation?

Install first, then mask and paint. This ensures proper fitment and lets you match your factory finish without tape residue on the mounting surfaces.
