Boost the cold air intake performance of your BMW 5 Series E60 / E61 with these premium aluminium air induction intake scoops, precision crafted from aircraft-grade aluminium with a powder-coated finish for superior durability and a refined engine bay aesthetic. The factory air intake on the E60 / E61 chassis is restrictive by design limiting airflow available to the airbox and reducing engine breathing performance, particularly at higher RPM. These intake scoops install at the front-end air inlet locations and channel additional cool air directly into the airbox, increasing intake volume, reducing intake air temperatures, and delivering a more responsive throttle feel. Supplied as a pair for left and right installation, finished in black with red accent for a sharp, motorsport-inspired engine bay upgrade.

Features:

• Aircraft-grade aluminium construction delivers exceptional strength, lightweight performance, and long-term durability for sustained driving conditions
• Powder-coated surface finish delivers a sophisticated black and red aesthetic while providing corrosion resistance and abrasion protection
• Direct intake performance benefit channels additional cool air into the factory airbox for improved intake volume and reduced intake air temperatures
• Sport-inspired engine bay upgrade elevates the appearance of the front intake area with a premium motorsport-grade aesthetic
• Supplied as a pair (Left & Right) complete coverage of both factory air intake inlet locations
• Wide chassis compatibility fits both diesel and petrol E60 / E61 variants including the M5

Contents:

• 2x Aluminium Air Induction Intake Scoops (Left & Right)

Benefits:

• Increased intake airflow channels additional cool air into the factory airbox for improved engine breathing, particularly noticeable at higher RPM where factory intake restriction is most limiting
• Reduced intake air temperatures cooler intake air increases air density and combustion efficiency, providing modest power gains and better throttle response
• Aircraft-grade aluminium construction delivers significantly higher durability than plastic alternatives, withstanding sustained underhood heat and vibration without degradation
• Powder-coated finish maintains the premium black and red appearance over long-term outdoor and driving exposure without fading or corrosion
• Significant engine bay aesthetic upgrade the motorsport-inspired scoops draw attention to the front intake area and complement the E60 chassis’s purposeful styling
• Compatible across the entire E60 / E61 model range from base 520i to the V10-powered M5 versatile upgrade applicable to most owners regardless of trim level

Installation Notes:

• Drilling may be required for proper installation this is a permanent modification to the front intake area. Do not install if you require fully reversible modifications
• Carefully measure and mark mounting hole positions before drilling measure twice, drill once
• Use appropriate drill bits for aluminium and surrounding bumper / intake area materials avoid damaging adjacent components during drilling
• Apply rust-prevention treatment to any exposed metal at drilled mounting points particularly important for steel intake area components
• Ensure the installed scoops do not interfere with normal hood operation, airbox access, or any sensors or wiring in the front intake area
• Verify the scoops do not redirect water or debris into critical engine components particularly important for vehicles driven in rain, snow, or off-road conditions
• Professional installation strongly recommended unless you have experience with intake area modifications and drilling
• If unsure about compatibility with your specific E60 / E61 variant or year, contact our team with your year, model, chassis code, and trim level before ordering
