Get Liqui Moly Pro-line Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner 1Ltrin Kenya

The modern diesel engine is a highly engineered system that relies on advanced emissions control technology to meet stringent environmental standards. One of the most important components in this system is the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), which is designed to capture and remove harmful soot and particulate matter from exhaust gases before they exit the tailpipe. Over time, however, the DPF can become clogged with excess carbon deposits, leading to reduced performance, poor fuel economy, and costly repairs. This is where the Liqui Moly Pro-Line Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner comes ina professional-grade solution designed to restore the efficiency of the DPF and extend its service life.

Purpose and Function

The primary purpose of the Liqui Moly Pro-Line Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner is to dissolve and remove soot and ash build-up from the DPF without requiring disassembly. When a DPF becomes saturated with particulates, the backpressure in the exhaust system increases, which affects engine performance, reduces power output, and increases fuel consumption. Traditional methods of cleaning a DPF involve removing the unit and either replacing it or cleaning it through expensive procedures. This product offers a convenient, cost-effective, and time-saving alternative.

Product Formulation and Chemical Action

Liqui Molys Pro-Line DPF Cleaner is formulated with a unique blend of detergent and dispersant agents specifically engineered for the safe and effective cleaning of diesel particulate filters. The cleaner breaks down carbon and soot particles that accumulate within the filter cells, allowing them to be burned off more easily during subsequent regeneration cycles.

The cleaner is non-flammable, metal-free, and designed to be safe for use with all types of diesel particulate filters, including wall-flow and open-flow designs. It is also compatible with most diesel engines, whether theyre installed in passenger vehicles, light commercial vans, or heavy-duty trucks.

Application Method

The application process is simple but must be conducted by a trained technician for best results. Typically, the DPF cleaner is injected directly into the diesel particulate filter using a special pressurized spray tool through the pressure sensor or temperature sensor opening. The engine must be turned off during this process. Once the entire volume of cleaner has been introduced into the filter, it is left to soak for a specified period, usually 15 to 30 minutes.

During this soaking phase, the cleaner penetrates the soot and ash layers and begins dissolving them. After the soaking time has elapsed, the engine is started and the system undergoes a regeneration processeither automatically or via a diagnostic toolto burn off the loosened particles. The result is a clean, unblocked DPF that is capable of filtering exhaust gases efficiently once more.

Benefits of Using Liqui Moly Pro-Line DPF Cleaner

1. Restores Filter Efficiency
One of the key advantages of this product is that it restores the diesel particulate filters ability to trap harmful particulates. By removing blockages, the cleaner returns the filter to near-original performance levels.

2. Reduces Operating Costs
Regular use of the DPF cleaner as part of preventive maintenance helps avoid expensive repair bills related to DPF replacement or turbocharger failure due to backpressure build-up.

3. Improves Fuel Economy
A clogged DPF puts strain on the engine, forcing it to work harder and consume more fuel. Cleaning the filter reduces this load, improving overall fuel efficiency.

4. Prevents Unscheduled Downtime
Vehicles with DPF-related issues often enter limp mode, drastically reducing speed and usability. By keeping the DPF clean, this product helps avoid unexpected downtime and keeps fleets running smoothly.

5. Environmentally Friendly Maintenance
Ensuring the DPF is operating properly reduces emissions of soot and other pollutants. Cleaning instead of replacing the filter also reduces waste.

6. Quick Turnaround
Because the DPF does not need to be removed for cleaning, service times are significantly reduced. In many cases, the entire procedure can be completed in less than an hour.

Recommended Usage

While the cleaner is ideal for treating existing blockages, it can also be used preventively. Diesel vehicles operating in urban environments, frequently idling, or used for short-distance driving often experience more frequent DPF clogging due to incomplete regeneration cycles. Periodic use of the Liqui Moly Pro-Line Diesel Particulate Filter Cleaner in such vehicles ensures the DPF remains functional and reduces the likelihood of failure.

Compatibility and Precautions

This cleaner is suitable for all diesel engines equipped with a diesel particulate filter, including those meeting Euro 4, Euro 5, and Euro 6 emission standards. It should not be used with gasoline engines or engines that do not utilize a DPF. It is also essential to ensure that no additives are introduced into the fuel tank during or immediately after application, as this can interfere with the cleaners chemical action.

Operators should always wear gloves and protective eyewear when handling the product. As with all chemicals, proper ventilation should be ensured during use.

Product Storage and Stability

Liqui Moly Pro-Line DPF Cleaner should be stored in its original container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. It has a long shelf life when stored correctly and remains stable under normal conditions. Do not freeze or expose to extreme temperatures.

Packaging and Volume

The cleaner is typically sold in 1-liter containers, which is generally sufficient for one cleaning session. Larger volumes may be available for use in commercial workshops or for fleet maintenance programs.

Technical Support and Quality Assurance

Liqui Moly is known for its commitment to quality and innovation. Each batch of Pro-Line DPF Cleaner undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it meets the companys high standards for safety, performance, and environmental responsibility. In addition, Liqui Moly offers technical support and guidance to professional workshops on the correct use and application of this product.
